Designing and installing safe access to a distillation tower and similar structures presents numerous issues. Traditionally, the full scaffolding approach incurs an excessive time and labour element at both the erection and dismantling stages. Zenith has been continuously developing a proven safe and comprehensive innovative approach for access systems to columns to ensure, firstly, safe access, secondly a time efficient solution and thirdly a system that enables full access to all areas of the column including lifting requirements.
Through decades of experience working for the globe’s leading companies combined with our engineering excellence, Zenith has developed such a safe innovative solution to facilitate access throughout the full height of columns.
Features of Zenith’s innovative design include:
• A primary bespoke hybrid temporary frame support with a minimal footprint at ground level
• Conventional scaffolding can be incorporated at locations
• Extensions can be added for lifting, loading and to create a larger landing area
• Encapsulated areas at specific locations
• Protection fan above ground level in the event of a dropped object
• Partial or fully localized scaffolding (valve replacement, blinds, corrosion treatment and surface preparation and NDT testing)
• Mechanical passenger/materials hoist
• Niko rail beams to support lifting and rigging
• Emergency access staircase
• Localised and isolated habitats to support work (surface preparation, welding and protective coatings)
