Zenith Delivers Access Solution to Drax

Clatteringshaws Dam

Zenith has been working with Drax Group for over 20 years and is currently undertaking an extensive inspection and repair project at Clatteringshaws Loch Dam in Galloway, Scotland. Our team is using a movable counterweight anchor system to ensure safety and unrestricted rope movement along the dam. Skilled rope access technicians are removing vegetation and descaling the 447m dam wall. Additionally, engineers will conduct a drone survey to create a 3D model of the dam’s surface. This model will map out the condition of the dam, highlight areas of current and future repairs, and provide a comparison against future inspections.

The Clatteringshaws Loch Dam is a gravity structure made of mass concrete that was constructed in 1934 as part of the Galloway Hydro-Power scheme. Zenith is a leading provider of innovative safe access and repair solutions for tall and awkward structures, that maintain the integrity of structures. We take pride in providing our clients with an unmatched level of service from initial concept design to on-site execution. Contact us to discover how we can bring innovative access to your project.
