RTE News Visits Poolbeg Power Station
Last week, RTE News visited Poolbeg Generating Station in Dublin to report on the refurbishment of its iconic chimney stacks. The red and white stacks were once the tallest structures in Ireland and remain beloved landmarks of the Dublin skyline. Completed in 1971 and 1978, the chimneys have a unique history and vibrant colours which make them a constant topic of debate in the city. In 2015, Zenith designed and installed steel capping arrangements over both termination points to ensure their internal stability. Zenith has a long working relationship with ESB, both at the Poolbeg site as well as at ESB’s numerous power stations throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Zenith is a world leader in providing industrial chimney inspection and maintenance services. Project Manager Daniel Duffy took RTE on a tour of the site and showcased the spectacular view from the chimney.
Zenith is committed to preserving these iconic chimneys and we are delighted to be undertaking this major refurbishment project. We deliver safe and innovative chimney maintenance and repair services with a commitment to excellence. With our extensive experience, we provide the best solutions for your chimney needs.
