Zenith Gives Presentation at Tarmac’s ‘Safety Week’ Event

Zenith’s long-term client, Tarmac (the UK’s leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions company), invited Zenith along to their company’s ‘Safety Week’ event to give a presentation concerning ‘Working at Height’ to upwards of 60 Tarmac engineers at their Dunbar Cement Plant.

During the presentation particular focus was given to how Zenith, over many years, has brought industry leading safe innovative solutions for Tarmac on numerous successfully completed projects at Dunbar and at other Tarmac locations throughout the country.

In addition, the presentation involved the implementation of the ‘Working at Height Regulations 2005’ and ‘Working at Height: Hierarchy of Control.’

A practical demonstration highlighted the importance of ‘Personal Fall Protection Harnesses’ and the requirement for routine safety checks prior to each use and the pre-use checks all harnesses will undergo routinely thorough inspection by a competent person (a statutory inspection every 6 months).

Appreciation was expressed by the Tarmac’s engineers in attendance and the entire occasion demonstrates Zenith’s uncompromising commitment to safety and safely working at height.
