One of our standout areas of expertise is our ability to replace flare tips offshore, on platforms, and FPSOs without the need for expensive helicopters or barge cranes. Through R&D, our engineers have designed bespoke temporary lifting frames that are third-party verified (FAT) prior to site delivery and installation by our experienced team. Our innovation provides a perfect solution to a major problematic lifting issue, especially where crane access proves onerous. Zenith is one of the only companies in the world able to provide this world-class service.
Currently, we are working on several high-profile international projects in The Middle East, Central Asia, and South East Asia:
Zenith has supported Shell Qatar in providing flare stack inspection and maintenance services, and numerous flare tip replacement projects on the 126m high demountable flare stack. We are currently replacing a flare tip on an offshore platform for Shell in Qatar, having completed the previous replacement in 2021. Following this, we will commence the installation of extensive rigging for a major demounting exercise to replace two flare tips. Zenith’s team is also due to commence replacing a flare tip on an offshore platform for PETRONAS, Malaysia’s largest oil and gas company. Zenith engineers have designed lifting davits bespoke to each project, which will be installed and executed by our skilled technical operational team.
Since 2008, we have provided Chevron in Kazakhstan with a comprehensive range of world-class services for its flare stacks, industrial chimneys, heaters, vessels, and other onsite structures. Our first engineered designed lifting davit was designed for Chevon to replace a flare tip on an elevated flare stack, in a remote desert location, without the use of expensive helicopters or cranes. Chevron was delighted with the success of the project, and we continue to provide them with innovative engineered solutions.
